Noticing a poster round campus about a trip to Focus on Imaging and its only £2 to go, well I couldn’t find an excuse not to!
I have been before previously and in total spending £10 to get in and £5 for the coach it was an extremely long and boring day however we only got short of 3 hours to look around which I thought was a perfect amount of time.
I applied online as a photographer so I was able to get in the event for free, and being on a coach with different photography students which was a few years younger than me was very interesting. How they looked at things differently, approached things and how they acted in general, quite amusing actually. As the coach stopped for a break one girl rushed off with her camera to take a picture of an old man with a walking stick on her black and white film camera. To be stood a decent distance away but close enough for him to know and never asked permission to take his picture which amused me knowing my luck if that was me I would have got shooed off or smacked with the walking stick.

She has a fantastic eye the way she edits her pictures are breath taking and the colours and composition of her images just go really well together.

Personally one of my favorite images by Lara Jade |
Lara using mainly natural light for her images and states she hasn’t got her own style as she is going with the trends and always learning as really good to hear. As before I have been asked what is your style and it’s really hard to answer that and felt like I need to have one by now but to hear this from someone as successful as her was a relief. However at my age she was producing ten million times better pictures than me and doing a lot more work so its made me think I need to pull my finger out. She is inspirational and made me remember why I want to do fashion photography!
