After having discussions in class about different lighting techniques and having a workshop showing us how to light different situations.
I thought it would be a good idea to have an experiment myself, but having a go at taking pictures in the dark.
It was spur of the moment and dragging my best friend out to be a model at mid night to take pictures.
With not having the correct lighting equipment I just used my flash, at first I found it difficult to take pictures as the lighting looked to harsh on the model, and to be honest I didn't really know what to expect of this shoot and how I wanted the final images so it seemed like I was shooting blindly.
It was getting cold and I was getting fed up, all I thought was "oh well it's only an experiment" but I positioned my flash so it hit the wall behind me, and lit the model beautifully. I was shocked as I didn't expect that to happen. So took a few more pictures before heading in.
When looking at them on the computer little editing needed to be done, the lighting looked great and the composition of the whole image worked very well.
